About
Jenny Barruol is a documentary filmmaker and script translator with a passion for stories around humanity, the ocean and the animal world, and how they interact with each other.

Her journey as a documentarist started in 2021 when she worked as a photographer and videographer for an NGO based in Lesvos, Greece. That experience led her to film her first documentary 'The Nicoyan Secret', which went on to be selected for several film festivals.
In 2022, she filmed a second documentary: 'Voices of Ukraine' and she has since focused more on short-form content and docu-photography.

As a Modern Languages (Spanish and Russian) graduate from the University of Bristol and French native, Jenny Barruol also works as a freelance script translator. She has translated a wide variety of documentary scripts, ranging from environmental topics to investigative journalism-type programs.
